Inviting Your Legislators to Speak

You can invite elected officials to speak from the pulpit, address an annual meeting of your congregation or a social justice forum, be present at a social action event such as Mitzvah Day or a High Holiday food drive, or speak with your brotherhood, sisterhood or social action committee.

Be sure to read up on the “Do’s and Don’ts of Pulpit Politics: Rules for Non-Profits” before reaching out to a legislator or candidate running for office.
